Mountain Safety Research | Community Chlorine Maker


MSR, a leading brand in the outdoor sports industry, came to my team with a problem. They had 2500 units of their SE200™ Community Chlorine Maker but no money to distribute them, educate communities on how to use them, nor to assist in planning safe water storage solutions in those communities.

We designed an Indiegogo campaign complete with an introduction video, story, and social content to get people to care about low-resource communities around the world.

Together we raised 121% of their goal, a total of $63,523. The most successful part to me, however, was that we sold 94 of the 100 lowest perks available: $160 each, covering the price of distribution and education for a single unit. And what did the people who purchased this perk receive? Simply the knowledge that they'd made a difference.
